Public Business Sector Minister Mahmoud Esmat discussed on Thursday with chairman of the Egyptian Exchange necessary measures to list Egyptian cotton in the commodities exchange in a bid to improve the marketing of such a strategic commodity.
The move complies with State’s plan to expand cotton cultivation as part of the national project for spinning and weaving industry development.
A statement by the Public Business Sector Ministry said today meeting comes as part of the country’s policy to encourage cultivation of strategic crops to secure market needs and export surplus.
