Egypt’s Minister of Education and Technical Education Mohamed Abdel Latif signed on Monday a co-operation agreement with Shinichi, a representative of the Japanese education company SPRIX, during his visit to the company’s headquarters in Tokyo.

The agreement aims to establish a national education platform in Egypt, which will be rolled out gradually across the country to improve monitoring of the educational process and strengthen the use of data to track student attendance, academic performance and assessment results.

The platform is scheduled to be introduced gradually from the 2026-2027 academic year, starting with a number of educational administrations before being expanded nationwide.

It will provide teachers with digital tools to monitor student attendance and absence and track academic performance and assessment results on a regular basis. This will help identify students who need additional support at an early stage and allow schools to take appropriate action.

The platform will also provide the ministry with updated educational data on a daily basis, supporting data-driven decision-making and allowing officials to continuously monitor education performance indicators, identify challenges and take measures to improve the quality of education.

Abdel Latif said the creation of a data-driven national education platform marks an important step in the ministry’s digital transformation efforts.

He stressed the importance of using modern technology to support teachers, improve student monitoring and enable decisions based on accurate, up-to-date data.

The initiative is part of the ministry’s efforts to build an integrated national digital system for monitoring education in line with global trends in using data and technology to improve educational quality and efficiency.
