Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, said on Tuesday that the second edition of the Global Congress on Population, Health, and Human Development (Global PHDC 2024) would address health and population challenges.
Egypt will host Global PHDC 2024 on Oct. 21-25 under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. The five-day event aims to tackle health and human development via a comprehensive approach that addresses root causes.
Health and Population Ministry spokesperson said the conference will tackle five key themes: the link between population, health, and human development, building resilient health systems capable of adapting to demographic changes and emerging health threats, empowering individuals and communities, adapting health systems to a rapidly changing world, and ensuring equality and accessibility to quality healthcare, education, and economic opportunities for all.
