CAIRO – Eng. Tarek El Molla, Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said holding the eighth gas forum 2022 in Egypt is considered an opportunity for senior gas producers and consumers to debate issues of mutual concern and achieve stability on the market,.
The event, to be held late in the second half of 2022, is organised by the International Energy Forum (IEF).
The Ministry of Petroleum quoted Molla as saying in a statement on Wednesday that Egypt achieved major successes in the gas domain during the past seven years as it became the headquarters of East Mediterranean Gas Forum which offers good opportunities for co-operation and integration in the field of gas.
For his part, Joseph McMonigle, Secretary of the IEF, said the event will provide an opportunity for the participants to exchange viewpoints and reach a common vision on gas, pointing out the demand on gas is on the rise, a matter that led to the increase of its prices.
