Spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Mohamed el Qersh said the Egyptian State has attached great importance to unprecedented development of the agricultural sector over the past period.
In statements to MENA on Friday, Qersh said the State is offering an initiative to provide farmers with 10-year loans on a zero interest rate basis; with a view to developing field irrigation.
This affirms that the State is taking serious steps to boost agriculture, he added.
Qersh also pointed out to ongoing vertical expansion projects in agriculture, such as the project to develop field irrigation and modernize seeds to maximize productivity and resist climate changes worldwide.
