Tourism and Antiquities Minister Sherif Fathy continued his official visit to Paris with a series of meetings with leading French tour operators and aviation companies, including Der Tour, Club Med, Air Masters, and Travel Evasion.
The discussions focused on boosting co-operation and increasing tourist flows from France to Egypt.
Fathy highlighted positive growth trends in the French market, noting that visitors are increasingly choosing destinations beyond Luxor and Aswan, with rising interest in Red Sea resorts.
He also stressed plans to expand tourism programs to new areas such as the North Coast, while promoting packages that combine beach, cultural, and eco-tourism to showcase Egypt’s diverse offerings.
The talks also resulted in agreements to launch joint promotional campaigns between the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority and French partners, aiming to achieve higher growth in arrivals. Follow-up sessions are planned during the IFTM Top Resa international tourism fair.
French representatives praised Egypt’s progress in the tourism sector and expressed confidence in its competitiveness. Club Med officials signaled interest in resuming investment and operations in Egypt.
