The Ministry of Social Solidarity announced on Monday the launch of the first phase of disbursements under the presidential initiative “Egypt Is With You”, which provides care and financial support to the minor children of Armed Forces and Civil Police martyrs, civilian victims, and civilian minors injured in terrorist attacks.
The initiative is being implemented in line with directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and in co-ordination with the Fund for Honouring Martyrs, Victims, Missing Persons, and the Wounded of War Operations and Their Families.
The first round of payments covers eligible minor children of civilian victims and minors injured in terrorist attacks in North Sinai, as well as beneficiaries in other governorates.
Misr Life Insurance has transferred the allocated funds directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsy said she is closely monitoring the disbursement process and has instructed officials to remove any obstacles facing beneficiaries.
The Nasser Social Bank is responsible for disbursing compensation to eligible civilian beneficiaries. To facilitate access to the payments, the ministry has opened free bank accounts and issued ATM cards to recipients, Morsy noted.
The current payments mark the first phase of the initiative, which forms part of the government’s broader efforts to provide social protection and financial assistance to families affected by terrorism and conflict, sha added.
