Egypt has renewed its categorical condemnation of continued attacks on Saudi Arabia, including the targeting of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, describing them as a blatant violation of international law and a threat to the safety of civilians of all nationalities.
In a statement issued late on Saturday, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry stressed its outright rejection of such hostile acts, which undermine regional security and stability.
Egypt reaffirmed its solidarity with Saudi Arabia and support for measures taken to safeguard its security, sovereignty and the safety of citizens.
Meanwhile, several people have been injured in another attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, authorities say, days after Yemen’s Houthis claimed to have carried out similar strikes on the hub.
Operations at King Khalid International Airport were suspended on Saturday after the attack, the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority said in a statement.
More than a dozen ambulances were seen rushing to the airport, according to Reuters, citing an eyewitness.
