Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdel Aaty spoke by phone onThursday with Sudanese Foreign Minister Mohy El‑Din Salem to review bilateral relations and the developments in Sudan.
Minister Abdel Aaty reaffirmed Egypt’s pride in its historic and fraternal bonds with Sudan and its commitment to strengthening cooperation across all fields. He stressed Egypt’s continued support for Sudan and its people amid current challenges.
The two ministers discussed the latest developments in Sudan. Minister Abdel Aaty reaffirmed Egypt’s unwavering support for Sudan’s unity, territorial integrity, sovereignty, and national institutions. He emphasised that the future of Sudan must be decided by the Sudanese themselves and that any political process should be owned by the Sudanese in order to protect national resources and live up to the people’s aspirations for security and stability. Egypt also rejects any attempts to split the nation or undermine its unity.
