Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held a phone call on Tuesday with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, as part of ongoing consultations between the two countries on regional issues.
The two ministers exchanged views on the latest developments in negotiations between the United States and Iran. They stressed the importance of building on the momentum created by the signing of the memorandum of understanding, paving the way for more sustainable arrangements that reinforce calm and strengthen regional security and stability, while ensuring freedom of navigation in line with international law.
They also discussed ways to support the continuation of the negotiation track, underlining the need for ongoing regional and international efforts to bridge differences and reach a lasting settlement.
