Egyptian Minister of Planning Hala el Saeed asserted that the Planning Ministry is responsible for Egypt Vision 2030 which is the national edition of the sustainable development agenda.

During the meeting, Saeed pointed out to the latest update of Egypt Vision 2030 that was added recently to the website of the ministry, saying that the ministry is responsible for preparing short-term, medium-term and long-term plans.

Saeed reviewed the work files of the ministry and the initiative and programmes presented by the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development including the initiative of “Be an Ambassador” which aims at spreading sustainable development thinking among youth and “Green Minds” which aims at spreading awareness and boost sustainable attitude to combat climate change for school students.

She pointed out to the national initiative of smart green projects which aims at finding solutions to environment problems and raising awareness of the citizens on climate change.

Meanwhile, Khater lauded the efforts of the Egyptian Planning Ministry, pointing out that she is looking forward to boosting bilateral cooperation in the future in a number of files related to governance and sustainable development in addition to investment cooperation between Egypt and Qatar.
