Egypt, Qatar commend bilateral relations’ return to normal position

The Egyptian and Qatari sides have commended the level reached in bilateral relations and their return to their normal position and solid origin.

This came as part of joint statements issued by Egypt and Qatar following a meeting between Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani on Monday.

The meeting touched on relations between the two brotherly countries, in addition to the importance of fostering bilateral cooperation and coordination in various fields, the statement said.

The two sides lauded the work of members of the committees emanating from Al-Ula Declaration, which has been carried out in an atmosphere of professionalism and fraternity.

A number of agreements and memoranda of understanding have been signed, and consensus was reached on topics listed on the committees’ agendas in a way that serves the interests of Egypt and Qatar and their peoples.

The Egyptian and Qatari sides also announced their decision to form a joint committee chaired by the two countries’ foreign ministers; with a view to maintaining constant consultation, as well as promoting bilateral cooperation and coordination in all fields.
