The Games begin on Friday in Taranto, southeastern Italy, and will run until September 3.
Egypt’s Ambassador to Italy, Bassam Radi, confirmed that both sides had coordinated to provide full support for the Egyptian delegation throughout the event.
Minister Nabil emphasised that the Games would play a vital role in preparing Egyptian athletes for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
The Egyptian delegation comprises around 200 athletes competing in 23 sports. In total, approximately 3,850 athletes from 26 Mediterranean countries will participate in the two‑week event, with competitions held in Taranto and several other Italian cities.
