Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk received a high-level Polish delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and State Secretary of Poland, accompanied by Poland’s Ambassador to Cairo, senior parliamentary and government officials, and representatives of major Polish agricultural companies.
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral agricultural and livestock cooperation. Discussions covered mechanisms to boost economic relations in the agricultural sector, investment opportunities linked to Egypt’s national mega projects, and the success of Egyptian agricultural exports in international markets.
Talks addressed key technical issues such as plant health requirements to facilitate trade in crops and animal products, as well as opportunities for scientific and technical cooperation and exchange of expertise.
Following the ministerial meeting, a broad technical session was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister El-Sayyad with the Polish delegation, Egyptian business leaders, and investors. The session reviewed the operational framework for joint cooperation and explored direct investment opportunities and potential partnerships in food processing, food technology, and veterinary services.
Polish companies expressed strong interest in investing in Egypt, highlighting the country’s attractive investment climate and ongoing agricultural development projects.
