Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Manar asserted on Tuesday that his ministry pays attention to supporting and boosting co-operation with Iraqi in light of the historic ties binding Egypt and Iraq.
This came during Manar’s meeting with Iraqi Transport Minister Nasser Hussein al Shibli and his accompanying delegation at the premises of the ministry on Tuesday.
Both ministers discussed aspects of co-operation and means to boost partnership between Egypt and Iraq in the different air transport activities.
The meeting tackled a number of issues that contribute to boosting co-operation between both countries topped by activating the air movement and goods shipment and co-operation in the field of training and exchanging expertise.
During the meeting, Manar said that the ministry saves no efforts to present all kinds of support and co-operation to provide all the services and potentials to the Iraqi brethren in the different civil aviation activities and contribute to establishing strong partnership between both countries and achieving joint interests in the field of air transport.
Meanwhile, Shilbi lauded the pioneering role and development witnessed in Egypt in the different domains especially in the sector of civil aviation.
He said that Iraq is looking forward to more co-operation and coordination with Egypt especially in the field of air transport.
