During the ongoing clashes in the Gaza Strip on Sunday, an Egyptian border watchtower was accidentally hit by fragments of a shell from an Israeli tank, which resulted in minor injuries to some border watchmen, the Egyptian Armed Forces’ Spokesman, Staff Colonel Gharib Abdelhafiz Gharib, said.
The Israeli side expressed regret over the unintentional incident, immediately after it took place, and the incident is being investigated, the spokesman added.
