The Egyptian Armed Forces have outlined the vision behind the “Hero’s Tale” film series, describing it as a new approach to documenting the stories of Egypt’s fallen soldiers.

The series was designed to answer a central question: “Why was this individual chosen as a martyr?”—offering a deeper perspective beyond traditional narratives of military operations.

The Armed Forces explained that the project goes beyond recounting battlefield events by focusing on the human dimension of the martyrs, including their personal relationships, character, and everyday actions.

The series also highlights the final moments of heroism during missions, showcasing how soldiers confronted critical situations with courage, discipline, and a strong sense of national duty.

It further noted that the production aims to present a comprehensive picture of all contributors to the fight against terrorism—not only officers, but also non-commissioned officers, soldiers, and members of Sinai tribes, whose support played a vital role in counterterrorism efforts.

The Armed Forces added that the series introduces a modern visual experience, incorporating artificial intelligence technologies to recreate events in a realistic and impactful manner, enhancing both the emotional and narrative depth of the stories presented.

Military Spokesman Brigadier General staff Gharib Abdel Hafez announced the launch of the “Hero’s Tale” film series on the official military spokesman social media pages starting next Saturday April 25 coinciding with the 44th anniversary of Sinai Liberation Day.

The series featuring 30 films will run until Tuesday June 30 coinciding with the 13th anniversary of the June 30 Revolution.

The official pages of the military spokesman published today a promotional video for the launch of the “Hero’s Tale” series.

Three films will be broadcast every Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday at 7 p.m. for nine weeks while the tenth and final week will feature films on Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday June 30.

Screening schedules for the following week will be posted every Friday at 7 p.m. on the military spokesman official social media pages.
