Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsy announced on Monday the launch of a platform to register students seeking support under the “Tomorrow Is School… Goodness in Egypt” initiative.
The initiative was launched by the Ministry of Social Solidarity in partnership with Misr El Kheir Foundation and The Civil Society Support Fund (CSF), ahead of the 2026-2027 academic year.
It aims to support students from vulnerable families by providing complete school bags containing essential stationery and supplies for primary and preparatory school students.
The initiative seeks to ease the financial burden on families and help students begin the new school year better prepared.
Eligible students include those from vulnerable families or families near the poverty line, children of beneficiaries of the “Takaful and Karama” conditional cash transfer programme, orphans living in care homes, alternative families or under legal guardianship, as well as students with disabilities enrolled in education.
To qualify, students must be enrolled in a primary or preparatory school for the 2026-2027 academic year. Applications must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian, with a maximum of two students per guardian.
Applicants must be Egyptian citizens and must not have received similar school-supply assistance from the ministry or another organisation during the same academic year.
Eligibility will be determined following a review and social assessment.
