The Ministry of Health and Population announced on Monday the start of the fourth edition of the “100 Days of Health” campaign across all governorates from 1 August, under the patronage of Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar. This year’s campaign carries the theme “Year of the Patient’s Voice and Support”, reaffirming the ministry’s commitment to placing patient needs and experiences at the centre of healthcare delivery.
Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the initiative builds on community partnership and inter-sectoral cooperation to provide free, high-quality health services nationwide, focusing on prevention, early detection, treatment and patient satisfaction. Services include presidential health initiatives such as early detection of breast cancer, neonatal hearing screening, maternal and foetal care, premarital testing, cancer screening, chronic disease management, kidney disease detection, autism spectrum screening, elderly care and health awareness programmes.
The campaign also integrates state-funded treatment decisions, elimination of waiting lists, diagnostic services, physiotherapy, oncology care, mental health support, licensing services and blood supply management. It further covers the “Golden 1000 Days” family health initiative, child immunisation, maternal and child health, milk distribution, preventive medicine, environmental monitoring, rural health outreach and emergency services.
Mobile clinics and treatment convoys will be deployed to public spaces such as clubs, youth centres, parks and ministries in the New Capital to expand access. The ministry emphasised that the campaign’s integrated methodology ensures efficient delivery of services to all citizens, with a strong focus on equity and quality.
