The Egyptian Air Force announced the launch of the second edition of the El Alamein International Aerospace Exhibition (EIAS 2026), scheduled to take place next September in El Alamein City under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

The announcement was made during an international press conference attended by Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh el-Hefny, Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Amr Saqr, several ministers, Chief Executive Officer of the Egyptian Space Agency Magdy Ismail, Head of the Armed Forces Armament Authority Major General Mohamed Adly, senior Armed Forces commanders, military attachés accredited to Egypt and representatives of leading international aviation companies.

For his part, Air Marshal Saqr affirmed Egypt’s full readiness to host the exhibition, describing it as one of the world’s leading aerospace events bringing together prominent figures from the aviation, defence, navigation and space sectors. He added the exhibition aims to strengthen international co-operation and create new opportunities in the manufacturing of military, commercial and private aircraft, aviation equipment and space technologies.

Minister el-Hefny said the exhibition provides an important platform for international co-operation, knowledge exchange and showcasing the latest developments in aviation technologies, while reflecting the Armed Forces’ leading role in organising major global events in Egypt.

Chief Executive Officer of the Egyptian Space Agency Magdy Ismail described EIAS 2026 as a premier gathering for leading international organisations specialising in defence, armaments, aviation and space technologies, with broad regional and international participation expected.

Head of the Armed Forces Armament Authority Major General Mohamed Adly said the exhibition will highlight the latest developments in aircraft, drones, aerial weapon systems and future defence technologies.

EIAS 2026 will feature static aircraft displays at El Alamein International Airport alongside aerial demonstrations, underscoring Egypt’s ambition to become a leading regional centre for aviation, aerospace and space technology.
