Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar reaffirmed Egypt’s unwavering commitment to providing comprehensive medical and humanitarian support to the Palestinian people.
He stressed the country’s continued leadership in receiving injured patients and delivering integrated healthcare services in line with its longstanding stance on the Palestinian cause.
The minister’s remarks came during a high-level meeting with French Ambassador to Cairo Éric Chevallier and his accompanying delegation.
Discussions during the meeting focused on means to enhance co-operation in the treatment of Palestinian children suffering from cancer.
Abdel Ghaffar noted that the Ministry of Health is actively boosting international partnerships with specialised medical institutions to ensure the highest standards of care for pediatric oncology patients.
For his part, Ambassador Chevallier expressed France’s deep appreciation for Egypt’s efforts in supporting and treating injured Palestinians, underscoring Paris’s readiness to expand co-operation with the Egyptian Ministry of Health and to back humanitarian initiatives aimed at caring for Palestinian children.
The meeting also reviewed final arrangements for the signing of a co-operation protocol between Gustave Roussy International Egypt and the French Embassy in Cairo.
