The minister said the ministry is working to support the university to become a regional scientific and religious center attracting students from neighboring countries, contributing to the dissemination of moderate enlightened thought and the consolidation of values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

During Azhari’s reception of Kazakh ambassador in Cairo Askar Genis at the Ministry of Awqaf’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, the two sides focused on ways to enhance joint cooperation in religious, cultural and scientific fields.

The minister further lauded distinguished organization and high intellectual content he witnessed during his participation in the International Conference held in Kazakhstan.

He affirmed the ministry’s keenness on continuing constructive cooperation with Kazakh religious and scientific institutions in the various fields, through the exchange of scientific publications, hosting imams and researchers and organizing joint conferences and seminars.

For his part, the Kazakh ambassador voiced his deep appreciation for Egypt’s high-level participation in the recent Conference in Kazakhstan, stressing that it received great welcome and appreciation from the Kazakh leadership, recognizing Egypt’s leading scientific and spiritual status in the Islamic world.

The ambassador confirmed strong fraternal and historic ties binding the two countries, praising the fruitful cooperation between the Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf and the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture (Nur Mubarak University) in Kazakhstan.

He further voiced his country’s aspiration to expand cooperation in religious training and the exchange of Islamic publications and manuscripts.
