CAIRO – Egypt ranks 53rd in 2021 Global Knowledge Index (GKI), climbing 19 places, the Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Centre (IDSC) said Wednesday.
An infographic issued by the IDSC said Egypt made progress in all sectors of the index, coming 35th in 2021 higher education index, compared to being 42nd in 2020.
As for the Global Innovation Index (GII), the infographic data showed Egypt ranking 58th compared to the 74th position in 2020, It said.
According to the IDSC, Egypt achieved tangible progress on the Global Competitiveness Index (GCI), leading in the 1st position in competitiveness of internet and phone sectors in 2021.
Also Egypt was in the 13th rank in skilled laborers indicators, 6th in health and environment and 3rd in women participation in parliament compared to men, according to the infographic representation.
