Italy’s Development Cooperation Agency and Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation during a meeting held on the sidelines of the IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington .
Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aati emphasized the importance of broadening partnership with Italy, particularly in renewable energy, infrastructure, and water resource management, in line with Egypt’s national priorities. He highlighted the value of technical expertise exchange to support sustainable development goals.
The Italian delegation reviewed the agency’s role in supporting development projects in Egypt, presenting programs aimed at improving services and boosting economic and social opportunities. They expressed appreciation for the existing partnership and voiced their intention to deepen collaboration in the coming period.
The discussions underscored the shared interest in advancing joint initiatives that align with Egypt’s development agenda, while reinforcing the strategic nature of Egyptian-Italian cooperation.
