Egypt’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture, Abdelaziz Konsowa, held talks on Tuesday with Hungarian Ambassador to Egypt Rita Herencsár to explore ways of boosting co-operation in higher education, scientific research, innovation and culture.
Konsowa reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to building long-term institutional partnerships between universities and research institutions in both countries.
The minister stressed Egypt’s interest in strengthening co-operation with Hungary’s applied and technological universities to benefit from their expertise in preparing graduates for labour market needs.
Konsowa encouraged direct engagement between Egyptian and Hungarian universities, particularly technological and applied institutions, to establish sustainable institutional partnerships, develop joint academic programmes and exchange expertise in applied disciplines.
He also welcomed broader co-operation in transnational education, inviting Hungarian universities to explore opportunities to establish joint programmes or branch campuses in Egypt.
