CAIRO- Since assuming the presidency of COP27 conference, Egypt has been trying from the first moment to make the event a turning point in the history of global climate action and turn words into action.
Shoukry made the remarks during his word at the Environment and Development Forum 2022 that kicked off earlier in the day.
Shoukry expounded Egypt’s vision towards a number of issues of priority as regards climate action, according to spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid.
He expressed hope that COP27 conference would come up with results that will enhance climate action.
The spokesman said the timing of the forum is important as it sheds light on water scarcity and how this is related to climate change and comes ahead of COP27 conference.
