Egypt’s Ministry of Education and Technical Education signed on Saturday a co-operation protocol with the Harvard Graduate School of Education to launch a specialised training programme at the Egyptian Military Academy.
Minister of Education and Technical Education, Mohamed Abdel Latif, and Director of the Egyptian Military Academy, Major General Mohamed Salah El-Turki, attended the signing ceremony.
The new protocol is part of the ministry’s strategy to strengthen the capacities of educational leaders, improve the pre-university education system and expand co-operation with leading international educational institutions.
The programme will train around 220 principals and public school leaders from across Egypt through a comprehensive model, combining online learning with in-person training at the Egyptian Military Academy under the supervision of professors from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
The curriculum includes designing and leading student-centred learning environments, strengthening teachers’ capacities as a cornerstone of school development, and developing systems-thinking skills to improve institutional efficiency.
The protocol reflects the ministry’s commitment to investing in human capital, supporting the state’s efforts to build a modern education system capable of preparing future generations with the skills needed to compete and meet future labour market demands.
