Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving the quality and efficiency of services delivered to citizens, particularly in villages benefiting from the presidential Decent Life (Hayah Karima) initiative.
The prime minister made the remarks during an extensive field tour of Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate to inspect a number of development and service projects across key sectors.
Madbouly said Kafr el-Sheikh has numerous competitive advantages and that the tour covers a broad range of projects, including those being implemented under the Decent Life initiative to develop rural villages.
The tour features an inspection of development works at Lake Burullus, as part of the state’s nationwide strategy to develop lakes in line with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives.
The projects seek to maximise the economic value of the lakes through organised docking facilities and boats for fishermen, supporting the efficient use of fishery resources and creating employment opportunities.
For his part, Kafr el-Sheikh Governor Ibrahim Mekki highlighted the governorate’s agricultural, industrial, coastal and environmental assets and its investment potential.
Mekki said projects under the current investment plan are being monitored through weekly technical reports and field inspections, with implementation schedules in place to expedite completion, particularly road construction and paving, and improve the condition of main and secondary roads.
