CAIRO – Ruler of Sharjah Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi thanked efforts of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, noting the high status of Egypt, as it was and still is a large part of shaping his personal and intellectual identity.
“We monitor Egypt’s progress daily. There is no talk except about Egypt, because it is the beating heart, and if the heart is affected, the entire nation is affected, likewise,” he said.
This came after he received the Nile Award for Arab Innovators from Ahmed Hano, Egyptian Minister of Culture.
He said: “They always ask me why I love Egypt, and I answer that if it weren’t for Egypt, I wouldn’t be me.”
“Egypt has treasures of science and knowledge that many people do not know anything about, even its own people. Egypt’s history is ancient and its heritage extends back thousands of years. It has always been a source of security and giving,” al Qasimi said according to MENA.
The Ruler of Sharjah praised the efforts made under the leadership of Sisi, saying: “We thank President El Sisi for his continuous efforts.”
At the end of his speech, he expressed his wishes for Egypt to continue to be safe and secure, directing his thanks to Sisi and all Egyptian officials for their effective efforts, hoping that Egypt will continue to prosper.
