CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah el Din Moustafa discussed on Sunday with authorised agent of Renault auto company in Egypt Maged el-Tarzi ways of deepening co-operation.
Talks also tackled setting up joint projects to localise truck manufacturing with the help of French technology.
The minister said the meeting reflects the depth of relations binding the two countries, adding that the two sides expounded the manufacturing, technical and technological capabilities of the ministry as well as the French company’s potentials in producing military vehicles at Hulwan Company for Workshop Tools (Factory 999).
He added that co-operation between Egypt and France is deeply-rooted, citing the military and civilian deals that were clinched between the two sides over the past period.
Spokesman for the Military Production Ministry Mohamed Eid Bakr said the ministry is keen on opening new prospects of co-operation with the French side in the manufacturing domain.
