Egypt’s Minister of State for Military Production, Salah Soliman Gombalat, has announced that the ministry aims to increase the added value of locally manufactured goods, boost industrial exports, and reduce the national import bill during the 2026/27 fiscal year.
The initiative forms part of broader government efforts to reinforce the national economy.
Speaking at a meeting with ministry employees who recently completed leadership and management training programmes, Gombalat explained that the ministry is adopting a modern institutional approach.
This strategy is built on strategic planning, innovation, governance, and rigorous performance measurement to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
Minister Gombalat stressed that meeting the needs of the Armed Forces and police remains the ministry’s primary mission, while surplus production capacity will continue to serve the civilian market, supporting sustainable industrial development and Egypt’s Vision 2030 objectives.
