Egypt’s agriculture minister Alaa Farouk has extended the annual Spring Flowers Exhibition at Cairo’s Agricultural Museum in Dokki until the end of May, waiving additional fees for exhibitors, the ministry said on Sunday.
The exhibition, now in its 93rd edition, opened partially on Sunday to welcome visitors during the Sham El-Nessim holidays, ahead of its official inauguration scheduled for April 16.
Farouk toured the exhibition, inspecting various pavilions and meeting exhibitors and visitors to assess service quality and gather feedback, the ministry said.
The exhibition features more than 100 exhibitors, including major ornamental plant and landscaping companies, cactus producers and agricultural supply businesses. It also supports small nurseries and startups, alongside participation from government bodies and civil society organisations.
Egypt’s social solidarity ministry is taking part for the second consecutive year through its “Diarna” handicrafts exhibition, showcasing traditional products alongside floral displays.
The Agricultural Museum in Dokki has also reopened to visitors in parallel with the exhibition following recent renovations, offering a cultural and recreational space highlighting Egypt’s agricultural heritage.
The ministry said the early opening responds to public demand to enjoy spring festivities, with full services in place to ensure a smooth visitor experience.
