The Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) has delivered on Thursday a shipment of food aid to Malawi to help address food security challenges affecting several regions of the country.
This comes as part of Egypt’s commitment to supporting development and humanitarian needs across Africa.
The shipment includes essential food supplies intended to support vulnerable communities and strengthen ongoing humanitarian response efforts.
The assistance was received upon arrival by officials from Malawi’s National Food Reserve Agency and representatives of the Department of Disaster Management Affairs, in the presence of Egypt’s Ambassador to Malawi, Rasha Hamdy.
Malawian officials expressed their appreciation for Egypt’s support during the current circumstances.
The EAPD said the initiative reflects Egypt’s continued commitment to promoting development and stability across the African continent and its belief in the importance of African cooperation in addressing humanitarian and development challenges.
The EAPD added that the assistance forms part of broader efforts to support African partners and enhance solidarity in confronting shared challenges.
