CAIRO – Egyptian Higher Education Minister and Acting Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar discussed co-operation with the Czech Republic in locally transferring the manufacture of medical supplies in Egypt.
This came during his meeting on Thursday with officials of six Czech companies specialised in manufacturing medical supplies.
The acting health minister is currently on a visit to Prague, where he takes part in the three-day Czech-Africa forum to probe co-operation with foreign investment companies in the establishment of factories for medical equipment and supplies, said Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar.
The spokesman added that the minister also met with representatives of a company specialised in equipping ambulances to explore how to develop the fleet of Egypt’s Ambulance Authority.
The minister conferred with representatives of Czech companies specialised in equipping intensive care units and making hospital furniture, the spokesman noted.
