As part of Egypt’s ongoing efforts to ensure the accessibility of humanitarian aid to the embattled Gaza Strip, the Egyptian Armed Forces continued its daily preparations for airdrop missions to deliver tons of medical supplies and foodstuffs for those in need in northern Gaza.
The efforts are part of a humanitarian airlift launched in February to deliver life-saving aid shipments, including tens of tons of food and medical supplies Palestinian brethren, pursuant to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives.
The Egyptian Armed Forces are conducting daily missions in cooperation with friendly nations to drop aid to areas that are difficult to reach in Gaza to ensure sufficient and sustainable delivery of aid through Rafah Border Crossing to support Palestinian people, alleviate their suffering, and instill hope amidst the deteriorating living and humanitarian conditions within the war-ravaged Palestinian enclave.
Egypt is also providing all technical and logistical support needed to facilitate arrival of aid shipments at Al-Arish seaport and airport before transporting into Gaza via Rafah Border Crossing.
