Egypt strongly condemned Iran’s repeated attacks against Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain and other Gulf states, describing them as a flagrant violation of the Gulf sovereignty, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday.
The statement added that such attacks constitute a serious threat to the security and stability of the Gulf region, and an unacceptable escalation that risks more regional tensions.
Egypt reiterated its categorical rejection of all actions that undermine the security and sovereignty of sisterly states or threaten the stability of the region. It renewed its call for restraint and de-escalation in a manner that safeguards regional security and preserves peace and stability.
Egypt also reaffirmed its full solidarity with Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain, underscoring its steadfast support for both countries in confronting any threat to their security and stability.
Furthermore, Egypt reiterated that there can be no justification or pretext for these repeated Iranian attacks against the Arab Gulf states, stressing that the security and stability of the Gulf countries are an integral part of Egypt’s own national security and the broader security of the region.
