Egypt on Friday condemned in the strongest terms the launch of missiles aimed at the Saudi cities of Taif and Yanbu.
The attacks represent a flagrant and unacceptable violation of international law and a threat to regional security and stability, Egypt’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Egypt categorically rejected the attacks and expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, describing the kingdom’s security as an extension of Egypt’s national security.
Cairo also said it supported all measures taken by Saudi Arabia to protect its territory and sovereignty and ensure the safety of its citizens, warning of the consequences of continued escalation for regional security and stability.
