CAIRO – A responsible security source said a high-level Egyptian security delegation met a delegation of Hamas leading figures to review the current conditions in the Gaza Strip and ways to remove all impediments hampering efforts to calm the situation in the enclave.
The source was quoted by Al Qahera News as saying that the meeting came within the framework of Egyptian efforts aimed at resuming negotiations to reach a Gaza ceasefire.
The source asserted according to MENA that Egypt’s commitment to continuing efforts to increase the entry of humanitarian relief aid supplies to the suffering people of the Gaza Strip.
