Egypt comes 6th place in Oran Mediterranean Games

The Mediterranean Games ended in Oran, Algeria, Tuesday with Egypt maintaining its sixth place, while Italy came first.

Italy clinched 48 gold medals, 50 silvers and 61 bronze medals.

Turkey was second with 45 gold medals, 26 silvers and 37 bronze medals.

In the third place was France, which won 21 golds, 24 silvers and 36 bronze medals.

Algeria was the fourth with 20 gold medals, 17 silvers and 16 bronze medals.

Coming fifth was Spain, which grabbed 14 gold medals, and 25 silver and 25 bronze medals.

Egypt was sixth with 13 gold medals, 14 silvers and 23 bronze medals.

About 191 Egyptian athletes took part in the games.

The closing ceremony is scheduled to take place later Wednesday.
