Egypt and China carried on with their joint ‘Eagles of Civilisation 2026’ air exercise on Monday, which involved several multi-role fighter aircraft of various types from both sides and was conducted at several air bases across Egypt.
A number of joint sorties were carried out to train participants in managing air combat operations, including engaging hostile targets and protecting vital installations in accordance with the latest aerial tactics.
The exercise helps facilitate the exchange of expertise and develop the skills and capabilities of participating pilots to operate jointly with full harmony and co-ordination. It also includes training in aerial refuelling operations.
The exercise aims to maximise benefits for participating personnel in the planning and execution of modern air operations, while enhancing the exchange of expertise and contributing to the readiness and capabilities of both countries’ air forces to carry out all assigned missions efficiently and effectively.
