Egypt took part in the opening of the World Health Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, with Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar leading the country’s official delegation.
Kenyan President William Ruto received Abdel Ghaffar and his accompanying delegation upon their arrival on Monday to attend the summit’s opening session.
Egypt’s participation comes as part of its efforts to strengthen health co-operation with African countries and exchange expertise in addressing shared health challenges.
The summit brings together global leaders and experts to discuss key issues such as digital transformation in healthcare, pandemic preparedness, and support for health systems across Africa, with the aim of building stronger and more resilient systems.
Egypt’s participation further demonstrates the country’s commitment to supporting health security across the continent and helping African countries achieve comprehensive and sustainable healthcare coverage.
