Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdel-Aati held separate phone calls on Friday with his Bahraini and German counterparts to address ongoing regional developments and efforts to reduce tensions.
During his discussion with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the two officials reviewed recent shifts in the region, with a specific focus on the resumption of negotiations between the United States and Iran.
They stressed the importance of reaching an agreement that would help contain current tensions and promote regional stability.
Abdel-Aati reaffirmed Egypt’s full solidarity with Bahrain and other Gulf countries in facing any challenges that could affect their security and stability.
During his phone call with Germany’s Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, Abdel-Aati discussed the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East. He emphasized Europe’s vital role in advancing diplomatic solutions and supporting de-escalation.
Both ministers underscored the urgent need to prevent direct conflict between the United States and Iran, stressing that sustained diplomatic engagement is essential to restoring regional security and stability.
