Egypt appreciated on Thursday the statements of US President Donald Trump yesterday during his meeting with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin on retreating his position on expelling the Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
Egypt asserted that this stance reflects understanding the escalating humanitarian situation in Gaza and the necessity to work on finding just and sustainable solutions to the Palestinian cause.
Egypt reiterated the importance of building on this positive approach to promote the efforts exerted to bring about peace in the Middle East.
