Algeria’s Speaker of the Council of the Nation (upper house of Parliament) Salah Goudjil has discussed with Egypt’s Ambassador in Algiers Mokhtar Warida ways of boosting bilateral co-operation in the various spheres, in light of the distinguished ties binding the two countries.
During the meeting, held at the parliament’s premises, the two sides discussed the close and deep-rooted ties between the two countries.
The Egyptian ambassador, for his part, hailed the outcome of the recent visit of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Egypt, noting that the visit culminated in issuing a joint statement which further enhances ties binding the two countries.
The two sides also shared identical viewpoints towards confronting foreign interferences in the Arab affairs.
They also exchanged viewpoints toward regional and international issues of mutual interest, topped by the Palestinian cause.
Regarding the parliamentary ties, the two sides hailed the level of parliamentary co-operation between the two countries.
