Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) Dr Ali El-Ghamrawy and HVD Egypt and Africa General Manager Mohamed Abou El-Naga discussed on Tuesday boosting co-operation in the medical supplies sector and supporting investment in Egypt’s healthcare industry.
EDA is committed to enhancing strategic partnerships with leading global healthcare companies as part of efforts to localise medical technology, enhance investment and improve the regulatory environment in line with international standards, El-Ghamrawy said.
Ongoing regulatory reforms and streamlined procedures would accelerate access to safe, high-quality medical products while boosting the competitiveness of the Egyptian market and supporting national health security, he added.
For his part, Abou El-Naga commended EDA’s efforts to modernise the regulatory framework, reaffirming HVD’s commitment to supporting the authority’s initiatives to introduce advanced medical technologies and solutions to the Egyptian market.
The talks also explored opportunities for technical and investment co-operation in medical supplies, with both sides stressing the importance of continuing collaboration to improve healthcare services and facilitate licensing and regulatory procedures.
The meeting forms part of the EDA’s strategy to foster innovation, attract investment and strengthen partnerships with industry stakeholders to advance Egypt’s healthcare sector.
