A delegation of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) paid a field visit to Sharm el-Sheikh International Hospital on the sidelines of a workshop on climate change and contagious diseases, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said.
The workshop is organized by the ECDC on Many 21-23 as part of the European Union’s initiative on health security, Abdel Ghaffar said.
The delegation was apprised of the medical services presented in the hospital in the different specializations, he said.
The delegation also stood on the steps taken to transfer the hospital into the first green hospital in Egypt as solar panels are used to general clean and renewable energy in addition to substituting the 100% of the fluorescent lamp by LED lamps to save energy and implementing the digital transition plan at the level of the hospital to reduce the paper used, he said.
The delegation inspected the hotel pavilions of the hospital and remote diagnostic unit that was equipped with the latest technological equipment, Abdel Ghaffar said.
