Soon, it will be possible to fly direct from Serbia to South Sinai.
According to a preliminary fraternity agreement between Egypt’s Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh and Nis, Serbia’s third largest city, a new Sharm-Nis air route is to be launched in parallel with the Belgrade-Hurghada route.
South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda, who is currently visiting Serbia with a business delegation, said he aims to boost co-operation between the two cities with the focus on tourism.
South Sinai’s governor and Mayor of Nis Dragana Sotirovski also discussed co-operation in higher education and the possibility of offering scholarships, thereby benefiting from Nis University’s experience in communications and information technology.
One of the squares in Nis is to be named ‘Sharm el-Sheikh’.
Fouda and his delegation latermet with top officials from the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia and the Serbian airport authority to bolster co-operation.
