Egypt’s Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production General Abdel Majeed Saqr met Thursday with Chairman of the Defense and National Security Committee of the House of Representatives Major General Ahmed El Awadly, along with other committee members.
During the meeting, held at the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defense, the committee members extended their congratulations to General Saqr and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa on their recent appointments, expressing their best wishes for success.
They praised efforts of the Armed Forces in supporting security and stability in the region and maintaining the highest levels of readiness to protect Egypt’s national security across all strategic directions.
General Saqr commended the patriotic role played by the committee, particularly in files that reinforce the pillars of Egypt’s national security.
He reaffirmed the readiness and preparedness of the Armed Forces personnel to execute all assigned tasks under any circumstances, ensuring the protection of Egypt’s sacred soil amid the regional and international threats and challenges the area is currently facing.
