Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Lt. Gen. Abdul Maguid Sakr on Sunday inspected a base of the Air Force, within the framework of the regular field follow-up visits to ensure combat preparedness of the Armed Forces.
The minister was accompanied by Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces Ahmed Khalifa and commanders of the main units.
The defense minister was briefed on the combat missions and training activities carried out by the Air Force personnel, enabling them to achieve the highest levels of combat readiness to carry out their missions.
Sakr witnessed a simulated model of a fighter jet’s real-life training, followed by an inspection of one of the air squadrons to follow up on models of preparatory activities and procedures carried out before the start of flight.
He discussed a number of Air Force fighters and the planning for the missions assigned to them. He also toured an exhibition featuring a number of multi-role aircraft and fighters.
The defense minister met with a number of Air Force fighters and conveyed to them the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
Sakr stressed the keenness of the General Command of the Armed Forces to provide advanced training systems for the Air Force to upgrade the systems of training and qualifying pilots and engineering and technical cadres and equipping them with integrated systems of technical security.
