Egypt’s Minister of Defence and Military Production and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Mohamed Zaki, met on Wednesday with a number of commanders of the Armed Forces at the Joint Training Center of the Supply and Logistics Authority.
The meeting was attended by General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, heads of the main branches, and a number of senior military commanders.
The meeting also comes within the framework of the Armed Forces’ keenness to continuously monitor and identify ways to develop the performance of the Armed Forces and their national responsibilities in maintaining security.
The meeting discussed the latest developments and challenges taking place in this stage, as well as the most important current events and their impact on Egyptian national security in light of the regional and international developments.
Minister Zeki delivered a speech during which he conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
He expressed his appreciation for the efforts and sacrifices made by the Armed Forces on all strategic fronts in order to fulfill the tasks and responsibilities assigned to them to protect the homeland and safeguard its sanctities.
He also reviewed a number of topics and issues related to Egyptian national security and the most important challenges. General stressed the importance of raising awareness of the armed forces personnel, so that they are fully aware of all the events going around them at all levels.
Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Osama Askar also delivered a speech in which he praised the combat readiness of the units of the Armed Forces. He stressed the need to maintain the high level of training and high morale of fighters.
The meeting also included a ceremony to honour the military colleges that won first places in the Physical Fitness Championship at the military college level for the year 2023.
Minister Zaki also inspected the Logistics and Supply Authority exhibition, which reflected the extent of Authority’s development in all its specialised departments to carry out all the tasks assigned to them to the fullest extent.
